You can share common interests by joining the Senior Studies Institute (SSI), Portland Community College’s lifelong learning institute. SSI offers a wide range of activities, both in person and on Zoom. Here are some of the things we offer:

· Lectures on various topics, from history to music to science and nature

· Picnics and lunches where you can mingle with other members

SSI Annual Potluck Picnic
Our annual SSI potluck picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Tigard at Cook Family Park (17005 SW 92nd Avenue), Shelter 4. Click on this link to get exact location: park website. Come enjoy good food, great company, and the music of James Clem. Everyone is welcome, with or without a dish to share. Guests are also welcome, and what better way to introduce new people to SSI?
2026-7 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL TIME
1) Membership year runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.
2) Annual dues are $50/individual or $80/2 in the household.
3) Presently we are accepting new and renewing membership
by mail only.
4) Download and complete the form below and mail with
check, payable to PCC, to
SSI, P.O. Box 80744, Portland, OR 97280-1744
5) A renewal letter and membership form was mailed to all
members of record.

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
These gatherings are a chance for members to focus on one particular area of interest beyond what is offered in classes or they offer the opportunity for members to gather together regularly to study and discuss topics of mutual interest in various disciplines. They are completely member-driven. It's a great way to socialize with people with similar interests outside of the normal SSI class environment.
